How would you go about creating what they did in this picture? Looks like a sparkler and maybe a longer exposure or what?

any light source to draw with. then set flashes on slave to sync rear curtian so that it freezes the drawer.

no worries. my advice is to you is, use a torch. you can turn it off and on so you can draw better things!
